BIT-4

BIT 4 – December 28, 2005

Well, since my last “bit” we’ve all celebrated both Thanksgiving and Christmas so, I thought I should give you all an update…

My parents and I shared Thanksgiving at some friend’s house, and had a nice time.  The next day I played at an “open mic” (invitation only) Private Club and had a great time playing for everyone!  It was a real fun group to play for.

I also played at the City Fiestas for Sarchi (a Costa Rican town) two days in a row.  The Costa Ricans sure do like the guitar… and especially Country style!  It’s always fun and I get to meet a few new musicians every time I play somewhere!

Christmas for me was also especially nice this year and I hope all of you had as wonderful a time with family and friends this Christmas as I did!  Although I like giving & receiving gifts, I got more joy out of being with my family & friends.  It was so much fun just to spend time with everyone and share in the fun as we celebrated the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

On another note… God has been giving me some breakthroughs musically!  In my last BIT, I mentioned that I was working on some new licks… well… now I have a few songs nearly completed and some good strong musical ideas to follow up on as well!

I’ve also been thinking of some different ways of recording the guitar in order to get a better sound, and although I’m still not ready to start my next CD project, I’m getting really close to being ready!  It’s going to be exciting to see how the Lord brings it all together for me, and of course I’ll keep you all posted!

Well, I’m going to go for now.  May God bless you all with a prosperous and happy new year!  And to all you other musicians out there (especially guitarists)… keep on pickin’ and grinnin’ for HIM!

Catch ya later!
