BIT-6

BIT 6 – June 23, 2006

Hello again,

Sorry this Bit got out a “bit” late!!!  Ouch! But before I get into how my trip went I would like to wish my parents a Happy 28th Wedding Anniversary!  May God bless you with many more happy years!  I love you!!!

My trip to the states was great and while there I got to play at a few more Opry’s (not the Grand Ole Opry… yet) along with a few private gigs that turned out super!

It was nice seeing old friends again along with making some new ones along the way.  I even played at an open bluegrass jam that had about 18 or 20 other players on everything from Mandolins to Banjos, even a few Fiddles, Acoustic and Electric guitars, Harmonicas, Flutes and a neat old Gretch Country Gentleman that I got to play on!  The whole evening was non stop diversity in music and styles but the smiles were universal!  We all had a great time jamming until we got too tired to pick anymore!

Since I got back I played a special concert for Father’s Day for about 150 + dads and they were totally into Country Style Guitar Pickin’… I had a blast playing for them, they were like a bunch of kids having a great time for themselves!

I even sold out of all my CD’s I brought and took orders for more… that was a good crowd!  There’s nothing like playing to a crowd that is enjoying what you’re playing!

Well, as for the new CD I’m working on… it’s coming along pretty good but I still have some loose ends to tie up on a couple of new pieces I have.  I’m still hopeful to get it ready for distribution by early next year or sooner if things fall into place a little better than I expect!

I have decided to not record this next CD on my own as I had mentioned because the equipment I need to do it justice is a bit out of my reach at this time… maybe next time… we’ll see!

Well I guess that’s all for now.

Take care and God bless!
