Well, we just started a sabbatical for the first time in years… we are staying in Idaho. We flew out here about two weeks ago. This is my first time visiting this state. We’ve been back home in Costa Rica for a while now, and have been very busy.
Before we flew back to Costa Rica the first week of March, we met with some friends at a Cracker Barrel for lunch. While waiting for them to arrive, I took out my banjo and sat in one of the rockers and played. That turned out to be a great way to draw a crowd and meet some very nice people. Well, since my last BIT we finished the last Seminar in Orlando, & spent Christmas day with some dear friends of ours in Florida. Well, While I was back in Costa Rica I became an Endorsing Artist for Deering Banjos and ordered a Customized Deluxe 6 string model. I ordered it with an upgrade from the standard Mahogany wood to being an all Walnut Banjo! It is both LOUD & beautiful!
Our time in Galway was a great blessing. It was everything I had imagined it being! We left Dalkey and headed up the “Dart” commuter line to Dublin, and then got the Bus from Connelly Station to Heuston Station to catch the train to Galway.
While on the Bus, I heard a gentleman speak to his daughter in Spanish… so… before the Bus arrived I said hello in Spanish which gave him quite a surprise! Continue reading “BIT-25”
